Playground Photoshoot

For our playground photo shoot, we incorporated children's fashion aspects with a chic twist. It has lots of color and we focused on bright childish clothing and made it more modern, grownup, and dramatic.

For Suri's ensemble we had a sort of Japanese-animation-super-hero twist. Suri is wearing a pale pink slip (literally, hah) and we topped it off with as many belts we could find. It gives the simple lace a cartoony aspect. But what really gives the outfit a super hero quality is the sticky-outy pig tails and the pink shadow that covers her eyes and the bridge of her nose. She is wearing a natural lip.

For Bindy's outfit we focused on the hair a lot and slicked it back with a genie-styled ponytail, while we let the hair run wild and playful. She is wearing a floral romper with a sash at the waist. She has on bright pink lipstick with a dramatic smokey eye.

For Mona's look, we had this basic 60's mod dress, and we dressed it down and made it more playful with a bathing-suit top and bright 70's shades. We teased her hair up to give it a young edge. We gave her a frosty pink lip and a natural eye to complete the look.

Here are some other pictures from the shoot:

Now, we don't expect you to go out and wear these crazy outfits in public. But, you can use some tips from these and have a more toned down look based on this. Try out a daring high pony the next time you're wearing a romper, or try a pair of colorful, huge, outrageous sun glasses the next time you're wearing something that needs a little more oomph. And go for a colorful belt with a simple dress, or more than one colored sash! And makeup wise, you can go for a bright lipstick or shadow, or a dramatic smokey eye for a night time look,  but make sure to not go too over the top with more than one central point at a time. Only focus on one for each look, if you plan to try it out. So, have fun with this playground look, and don't be afraid to consider something you wouldn't have dared before!
